Magnolia Musical Theatre is thrilled to announce auditions for The Addams Family Musical! We are seeking dynamic, expressive performers with strong acting, vocal, and movement abilities to bring this delightfully spooky family to life. All roles are open.

What we are looking for

We are looking for talented and diverse performers of all ethnicities for all roles. We are looking for 17-18 actors, age 16 and up.

Magnolia Musical Theatre desires to be as inclusive as possible and we enthusiastically encourage ALL PEOPLE to audition for any role they would like. Our character descriptions on the following pages are gender binary and are written with he/him or she/her. While they are limited in their writing, we hope that anyone who identifies with any of the roles, will come out and audition.

 

HOW TO AUDITION

In-Person Audition 

Actors interested in attending in-person auditions on January 2nd or 3rd must complete the registration form in advance.

YOU MUST select a time slot for your audition. After you complete your form and time selection you will receive a confirmation email with your assigned time slot, audition location, and what to prepare.

Video Audition Submission

If you are unable to attend in-person auditions, we welcome video submissions.

Please follow the instructions within the form regarding performance clips, resume, and headshot uploads. Video submissions MUST be received by December 21st at 5pm Central to be fully considered. 

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND CALLBACKS IN PERSON TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A ROLE.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song in the style of the show (not from The Addams Family)

  • Bring a printed headshot and resume

  • Wear attire suitable for moderate movement

  • Callbacks on Sunday, January 4th will include sides, vocal work, and a short dance combination
